This enchanting bakery, run by the cheerful Mrs. Sugarspoon, was famous for creating the most delicious holiday treats in the land. But what set Mrs. Sugarspoon’s confections apart was the sprinkle of magic she added to every recipe.

One chilly November evening, a gust of enchanted winter wind swept through the castle’s bakery, swirling sugar and spice into a whirlwind of holiday wonder. With a sprinkle of stardust and a flash of golden light, two of Mrs. Sugarspoon’s favorite gingerbread creations—Nutmeg and Starlight—came to life!

Thrilled by their newfound magic, the mischievous duo made a daring escape from the castle’s bakery, eager to explore the wonders of Citadel Outlets. Nutmeg, the playful gingerbread guy, loves playing hide-and-seek, finding a new spot each week to keep everyone guessing. Meanwhile, Starlight, the golden gingerbread man, found a special hiding spot and decided to guard it all season, shimmering and twinkling like a star.

With a cheeky grin and a love for hide-and-seek, Nutmeg sneaks around Citadel Outlets, finding a new hiding spot every Tuesday. He loves cozying up in festive displays, blending into holiday decor, and surprising shoppers with his joyful antics. Can you track him down before he moves again?

Say Hello to Starlight, the Golden Gingerbread Man

Starlight is our elusive golden gingerbread man, shimmering with magic and holiday cheer. Unlike his buddy Nutmeg, Starlight stays hidden in the same secret spot all season long, waiting for clever adventurers to discover him. His golden glow twinkles like stardust, and he’s guarding the grand prize of $500 for one lucky winner. Will you be the one to uncover his magical hideaway?

Search

Explore Citadel Outlets to find our two mischievous gingerbread men: Nutmeg and Starlight. Nutmeg loves to hide in new places every Tuesday, while Starlight stays hidden in the same magical spot all season. Keep your eyes peeled and see if you can spot them among our holiday decor.

Snap a Photo

Once you’ve discovered Nutmeg or Starlight, snap a photo to capture the moment! Make sure your photo clearly shows our gingerbread friend in his hiding place, so you’re all set for the next step.

Customer Service

Head over to the Citadel Outlets Customer Service desk and show your photo. Our friendly team will take down your name, email, and phone number to enter you into the weekly prize drawing or, if you found Starlight, for the grand prize. Remember: you need to check in with customer service to be eligible!

When does The Great Gingerbread Man Hunt take place

The hunt runs from November 11 through December 22. Each week, Nutmeg moves to a new hiding spot every Tuesday, and you can search for him from Tuesday through Sunday. Starlight remains hidden in one secret location all season long.

Can I participate in both hunts?

Absolutely! You can search for both Nutmeg and Starlight. Just make sure to register each photo separately with Customer Service to be entered into the appropriate prize drawings.

What prizes can I win?

Each week, one lucky person who finds Nutmeg will win a special prize. The grand prize for finding Starlight, our golden gingerbread man, is $500. Winners are announced on Mondays, so be sure to check Instagram!

Can kids participate in the hunt?

Yes! The hunt is fun for the whole family. Children under 18 will need a parent or guardian’s permission to register for the prize drawings.

How many times can I enter?

You can enter once per week for finding Nutmeg and once this holidy season for finding Starlight. That means you have multiple chances to win throughout the holiday season! You can search for him from Tuesday through Sunday. Starlight remains hidden in one secret location all season long.

Where do I go to show my photo?

Head over to our Customer Service desk, and a team member will take your details to register your entry.

How will I know if I’ve won?

Winners will be announced every Monday on our Instagram page, and we’ll also contact winners directly using the information provided when you registered your photo.

Do I have to follow Citadel Outlets on Instagram to participate?

While following us isn’t required to enter, we highly recommend it! We post winner announcements, fun hints, and updates you won’t want to miss.

Terms & Conditions

Eligibility: The Great Gingerbread Man Hunt is open to all ages. Participants under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to participate and claim any prizes.

Participation Rules:

No purchase necessary to participate.
To be entered into the weekly or grand prize draw, participants must locate the gingerbread men and take a clear photo of them.
Photos must be shown to the Citadel Outlets Customer Service team to register for the contest. Only photos taken during the specified event dates will be eligible.

Prize Details:

Weekly prizes will vary and are subject to availability. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other items.
The grand prize of $500 will be awarded to the participant who finds the Golden Gingerbread Man. The winner will be announced on December 23, 2024.
Winners will be selected randomly from eligible entries and notified via the contact information provided.

Entry Limitations:

Participants can submit one entry per week for Nutmeg. Duplicate submissions within the same week will not be counted.
Participants can submit one entry for the golden gingerbread man per promotional season.
Employees of Citadel Outlets and their immediate family members are not eligible to win.

Winner Notification:

Weekly winners will be announced each Monday on Citadel Outlets’ social media channels and contacted directly. If a winner cannot be reached within 48 hours, a new winner may be selected.
The Golden Gingerbread Man grand prize winner will be notified on December 23, 2024. Failure to respond within 48 hours may result in forfeiture of the prize, and a new winner may be selected.

Use of Personal Information:

By participating, entrants consent to the collection and use of their name, email, and phone number for contest purposes. Citadel Outlets will not share this information with third parties.
Participants agree to allow Citadel Outlets to use photos taken for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, marketing, and advertising.

Liability Release:

Citadel Outlets is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damages that occur while participating in The Great Gingerbread Man Hunt.
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Citadel Outlets, its employees, and partners from any and all liability.

Modification & Termination:

Citadel Outlets reserves the right to modify or terminate The Great Gingerbread Man Hunt at any time, for any reason, without notice.
